National Public Radio (NPR) is broadcasting a recording of Paul Winter's Winter Solstice Celebration. The broadcast will be carried by hundreds of NPR member stations during the 2007-8 Winter holidays.

This year's broadcast has been produced by Murray Street and presents music from the 27th Anniversary Winter Solstice Celebration performed in 2006, featuring:

Brazilian MPB singer, RENATO BRAZ

original Paul Winter Consort member and double reed player PAUL MCCANDLESS of the band OREGON

the PAUL WINTER CONSORT with Paul Winter, soprano sax; Eugene Friesen, cello; Paul Sullivan, piano; Sergio Brandao, bass; Brazilian percussionist Cafe; 'Nexus' percussionist Bill Cahn; and Cathedral organist Tim Brumfield.

The broadcast will be aired by hundreds of NPR stations, including:

WAMC Northeast Public Radio 12/23 @ 7pm

WNYC New York Public Radio 12/31 @ 8pm on 93.9 FM
